As part of the Lauriston Spirit Project, we are very excited to support the Daintree Wilderness Lodge, a business owned and run by Vivienne Heng (1992)https://www.daintreewildernesslodge.com.au/

Surrounded on all sides by the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park, the eco-lodge is ideally situated half way between the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation, in the very heart of the world's oldest rainforest.

Accommodation includes 7 individual cabins that provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the Daintree and its unique flora and fauna in complete privacy and comfort.

After crossing the Daintree River by ferry as you arrive, you enter jungle-clad mountains that sweep down towards the blue of the Coral Sea with only long white deserted beaches to separate them, creating a visually spectacular scene.

Once this craziness has subsided, consider a break away to the Daintree Wilderness Lodge, north of Port Douglas.

Vivienne has offered a 10% discount off rack rates (which includes complimentary breakfast, DVD hire and free Wi-Fi), as well as a complimentary bottle of wine when dinner is booked at the Cycad Restaurant.

This discount can only be made when the code OLA10 or LGS10 is added to the comment section of the direct booking site found on the website - https://www.daintreewildernesslodge.com.au/. This discount is not available through any other retail or online travel agents.

Vivienne has recently bought this business after totally changing industries from hospital pharmacy to tourism/hospitality. Vivienne says that her time at Lauriston taught her not to be afraid of new experiences and challenges. There were so many opportunities at school where she could stretch herself in areas foreign to her: Duke of Ed, drama, art and being House Captain.
